O verbo to get (parte II)

O verbo get também pode aparecer com lugares, com o sentido de chegar.

- She often gets to school very early.   ' Ela frequentemente chega muito cedo à escola.'

-  I got to Madrid at 7:00 o’clock.    ' Eu cheguei à Madrid às 7:00 horas.'

-  Did you get here by caro or by bus? ' Você chegou aqui de carro ou de ônibus?'

Porém quando se fala de chegar em casa, diz-se get home (sem to).

- What time do you get home every day?  'A que horas você chega em casa todos os dias?'

Get in, out, on, off = entrar, subir, sair, descer (de um veículo)

Get in (a car)

Get out of (a car)

Get on (a bus, a train, a plane)

Get off (a car, a train, a plane)

- I got in (into) my car and left.    ‘ Eu entrei no carro e parti.
- The car left quickly, after that the girl got out.   ‘ O carro partiu rapidamente, depois que a garota desceu.'

     - You need to get on the train in front of the school and get off after two stations.                   ‘ Você precisa subir no trem em frente à escola e descer depois de duas estações.’

Podemos dizer, também, get out of the truck.
